Holiday Cooking Fun!!

So cooking/baking went semi-ok last night. I got the rolls done, which is good, they didn't turn out too bad a little small but good. The Coleslaw is so freaking good, so that's a plus. And then there's the Tandy cakes...god I need to learn how to read a recipe. When a recipe says "bake in cookie sheet" don't assume you know more than the recipe and bake it in a 9x12 glass pan, bake it in a damn cookie sheet! What a moron I am. And to top it off, I found out that it is possible to burn chocolate in the microwave and its also possible to catch it on fire. Yeah, baking was not my forte last night. I ended up putting the chocolate on the stove and melting it that way instead. So now I have to make another batch of the Tandy Cakes tonight so I can have some for my parents house and some for the bf's parents house, fun.
I'm still debating on whether or not we should travel to my parents house tonight or tomorrow night. I think if we go up there tonight there is a better chance that we will get out of there at a decent time tomorrow. If we go up tomorrow night I'm worried we might not get out of there until Friday and I don't want to be driving on Black Friday, I want to be shopping :-)
Hopefully I'll get all my stuff done quickly tonight so that we can get up there...wish me luck and

Not Such a Bad Day I Guess...

So I'm finally getting my car back today after 2 weeks of being in the shop woo hoo! No more rental car! :) once i pick it up ill head home and start working on my dough for Thursday's dinner rolls. Kinda running on borrowed time with those. I have to make the dough let it rise, put it in the pans, let it rise and bake. I'm an idiot for waiting this long, let's just hope I have enough time to get it all done.

Today would be a good day, if we could just fast forward to 4 o'clock. :)

The bf and I have decided to go see my parents on Thursday if they decide not to come down for Thanksgiving. There's no reason why I can't go see them right? So now with the new agenda I have a million things to do before Thursday.

I think after the Holidays are over and the Holidaze is clearing I'll need a vacation :o)

Family Matters?

I can't believe freaking November is almost over already?!?!?!?!?! What the heck?!?! I swear it seems as though last week was September and I must have blinked or something and missed October and most of November, yeesh! Thanksgiving is next week already and my parents were supposed to come down to have dinner with me and the bf's family so we can spend a nice big family holiday all together but it seems as though my parents won't make it since they had a fight over where they were going and it ended with them going nowhere. Whatever.


It shouldn't matter that I won't see them on Thanksgiving but it's just weird since this will be the first time I haven't. I guess that's what happens when 80% of your family is fighting and hating each other, holidays get all screwed up. I can't wait for the family feud to be over, but I'm sure once it is there will be another one that pops up. Argh. I'm just getting annoyed with it all so I think it's time the bf and I get married so we can start our own family and just worry about our kids but at the same time I don't know if I'm ready for all that just yet so who knows, I'm just not happy with the crappy family crap right now.


Argh, oh well. I have much better things to worry about than stupid family drama bull-shit, like Christmas presents and how I need to start making those...yeah crap I should order the stuff tonight huh? lol. For now I'll just start working on the gifts I have. Yay gifts!! :-)

Bring On The Holidays...

I definitely need more time in the week to update my blog :-) less work more play. So I was able to get pictures of most of the stuff I want to sell on eBay but now I'm thinking maybe I'll sell some on craigslist and save on S&H, who knows. I have so much to get rid of though, CDs, TONS of Books, Barbie Dolls, Porcelain Dolls, Movie Memorabilia, an Organ, furniture, sandwich maker, buffet set, cooking utensils, etc. There's honestly too much to list. I think the books and CDs will most likely end up on Half.com and the rest will start on eBay and if it doesn't sell craigslist it is. See? I have a plan, well some what ;-).

My goal would be to get most of this stuff sold and out of my house by the end of the year but that won't happen. I want to get my house organized and completely straightened out so maybe next year for the Holidays I can have them at my house :-). This year we will be going to the bf's family celebration for Thanksgiving and hopefully my parents and my grandmother will be joining us, we shall see.

Speaking of holidays, I have so much to do to prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! I have to start getting together the ingredients I'll need to my side dishes, homemade dinner rolls and coleslaw :-) yum yum yummy. I have to make our holiday greeting cards so I can order them and mail them out right after thanksgiving, I have a really cute pic of the bf and I from our friends wedding in Vegas this year :-). My Christmas card list is pretty up to date and my gift list is concise, I got a few gifts already and don't have many left to get, wOoT!! :-) It makes it so much easier that half the family isn't talking to one another, what a great money saver ;-). We need to go get our Christmas tree and get our decorations out and up.

We have a fun filled few days of traveling around Christmas. Christmas Eve is with the bf's family this year and Christmas day is with my Parents. Wouldn't be so bad if they weren't 70 + miles away from each other lol. Oh well, it wouldn't be the holidays with out travel :-). And the only thing the bf has to do to prepare for the holidays is to buy me something pretty :-) I'm not high maintenance, honest. ;-)

Week Not Worth Mentioning....OK Maybe a Little...

Wow this week couldn't be over fast enough! I think this was the week from hell in more ways than one. Monday started bright and early with the cat knocking down my Tiffany lamp in the living room at 5am, lovely. When I went to pick up the seemingly unbroken lamp shade, a shard of glass sliced open my ring finger on my left hand spurting blood all over me and today its red, warm and super infected, I definitely think there's still glass in there, fun!!!

Tuesday was lovely election day what fun standing in line in the cold lol. Wednesday when I was leaving work I apparently wasn't paying close enough attention to the lady in front of me and I re-ended her. I thought she was pulling out from a stop sign when in actuality she was pulling up closer, like out in the middle of the effin' road, and stopped and I hit her, dumbass. Her car apparently had $585 worth of damage, whatever, and I go on Tuesday to see what the damage is to my car with the broken hood latch, broken headlight clip, dented hood, scratched bumper and pushed in grill, FUN!!!

Hopefully this weekend will be relaxing, no plans, just bf and I with some movies and house work. Maybe I'll finally get to put my stuff up on eBay and get to steal the XBox away from the bf and play some games ;-)


Anyways, this week sucked, I'm glad its over and I hope next week is better. TGIF!!!
